Accessibility
Last updated 2 November 2026
We want everyone to be able to use Ornavie, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or reduced motion. This website is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA and India's standard for accessible information and communication technology, IS 17802, which the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017 name for websites (rule 15).
The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 asks every service provider, government or private, to provide its services in line with the accessibility rules made under section 40 of the Act, which cover information and communication technology (section 46). This statement describes how this website does that.
What we have done
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, shows where the focus is, and starts with a link that skips to the main content.
- Headings, landmarks and labels are marked up so screen readers can find their way; the large decorative type has the same words in real headings.
- Every picture that carries meaning has a text description, and AI-generated pictures are named as such.
- Text and controls on plain backgrounds meet the WCAG contrast ratios; text over photographs has a shadow to keep it readable.
- If your device asks for reduced motion, the scroll story shows still frames instead of camera moves, and nothing starts moving by itself.
- A Pause motion button stops the falling gold leaf and the floating labels, and the reel has its own pause and sound buttons.
- The reel has music and no speech, so it has no captions; screen readers get a text description of what it shows.
- The Contact sales form has visible labels, says what went wrong if sending fails, and returns the focus to where you were when it closes.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% without loss of content, and pages work on screens from 320 pixels wide.
What is still limited
- The home page story is long: it is a scroll-driven sequence of nine screens. Its text is also available in order to screen readers, and you can skip it with the links in the header.
- The phone mock-ups in the catalogue and reel sections show sample interfaces as pictures; their content is described in the text beside them.
