Terms of service
Last updated 2 November 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Ornavie ("Ornavie", "we") for the use of this website and the Ornavie service. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. Please also read the privacy notice, the AI-generated content policy and the cancellation and refunds policy, which form part of these terms.
1. Who can use Ornavie
Ornavie is a service for jewellery businesses. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract under Indian law. If you use Ornavie for a business, you confirm that you may accept these terms for it.
2. Your account
Keep your password private and tell us at once at support@ornavie.in if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what is done through your account, including by people you invite to your organisation.
3. Credits and prices
- Making photographs and reels uses credits. The cost of a job is shown before you start it.
- Credits are held when a job starts and charged at the actual cost of the work done; the rest of the hold is released when the job ends.
- Your first workspace includes 10 credits at no charge. Further credits are bought at the price shown when you buy them, including GST where it applies.
- Cancellations and refunds follow the cancellation and refunds policy.
4. Your photos and the results
- You keep ownership of the photos you upload and of the photographs and reels made from them, as far as the law allows.
- You give us a licence to store, process and show your uploads and results only to provide the service to you, for example to make photographs, show them in your studio and publish them to your catalogue.
- You confirm that you own the jewellery photos you upload, or have the right to use them, and that they do not show real, identifiable people without their consent.
- We do not use your photos to train AI models and do not show them to anyone outside your organisation unless you publish them.
5. AI-generated photographs and reels
Ornavie uses AI to place your piece on a model or in a setting. AI can make mistakes. Before you publish or share any result, you agree to:
- check it against the real piece, and publish it only if the jewellery is shown as it really is: the same design, stones, colour, size and number of parts;
- keep the AI label that Ornavie adds, and not remove or hide it, or any embedded information that identifies the content as AI-generated;
- keep facts you add accurate, such as karat, weight, HUID and price, and follow the rules that apply to selling jewellery, including BIS hallmarking.
See the AI-generated content policy for how labels work.
6. What you may not do
You must not upload, make, publish or share through Ornavie anything that:
- belongs to someone else and that you have no right to use;
- is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another person's privacy including bodily privacy, insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, or encourages money laundering or gambling;
- is harmful to children;
- infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right;
- deceives or misleads people about where a message came from, or knowingly spreads information that is false or misleading;
- impersonates another person, or makes a real person appear to say or do something they did not;
- threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, its friendly relations with other countries or public order, incites any offence, or insults another nation;
- contains a computer virus or other code meant to interrupt, destroy or limit any computer resource; or
- breaks any law in force in India.
You must also not use Ornavie to show a piece of jewellery as different from what it really is, or try to break, overload or get around the security of the service.
What happens if you break these rules
- We may remove the content or disable access to it at once, and suspend or close your account, or the access of the person who broke the rules.
- Where the law requires, we report the content and the account to the authorities, and keep the information they may ask for.
- Making or sharing unlawful content with AI tools can be punished under the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986, the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, and other laws. The person who makes or shares it is responsible.
We tell you why we acted, unless the law or an investigation prevents it. We remind every user of these rules at least once every three months, as the Information Technology Rules, 2021 require.
7. Reporting content
Anyone can report content made or published with Ornavie, such as a catalogue page or a reel, to us at support@ornavie.in. The contact and grievances page gives the timelines.
8. Our service
- We work to keep Ornavie available and accurate, but it may sometimes be unavailable or make mistakes. We will tell you in advance about planned changes that affect you materially.
- The Ornavie name, wordmark, software and this website belong to us. These terms do not give you rights to them except to use the service.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be limited by contract. Otherwise, as far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Ornavie and ask us to close your account at any time. We may close an account under section 6, or with 30 days' notice for any other reason; unused paid credits are then refunded as the refunds policy describes.
11. Changes to these terms
We will tell you of material changes by email or in the service at least 15 days before they apply. If you do not accept them, you can close your account before they apply.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please first raise any dispute with our Grievance Officer as described on the contact and grievances page. Subject to your rights to approach a consumer commission, the courts at Jamshedpur have jurisdiction.
